APEC Youth Internet Volunteers - A Korean-led project seeking to reduce the digital divide by providing Youth Internet Volunteers (YIV) to provide ICT-skill training for local schoolteachers and students in the APEC region, as well as volunteers to help translate ICT advice into local languages.
Asia-Pacific Cybereducation Journal - The Asia-Pacific Cybereducation Journal (APCJ) is a refereed online journal published semiannually by the APEC Cyber Education Cooperation in collaboration with Indiana University. An interdisciplinary panel with expertise in various aspects of cybereducation reviews all submissions. It focuses on information and communication technologies and their integration into education and training, particularly in the Asia-Pacific Rim regions. Specific topics include: research on and innovations in teaching and learning with technology; instructional design; learning with radio, television, and other communications media; online learning; administration and evaluation of education programs using media and technology; policy frameworks and analyses; technology planning by governmental agencies; education-industry partnerships; and other topics related to teaching and learning with technology.
Institute of APEC Cyber Education - The Institute of APEC Cyber Education (IACE) is designed to construct the APEC Learning Community, research nternational cooperation in education between APEC economies and support the Secretariat of the ACEC consortium. IACE supports and administers On and Off-line activities for effective operation of the ALCom; supports and administers ALCoBs, allocates tasks/activities to the International Internet Volunteer group, suuports international research cooperation, and conducts and supports various projects for the international cooperation.
APEC Learning Community for Shared Prosperity - This project aims: • To construct and operate APEC Learning Community Builders (ALCoB) in order to bridge knowledge divide • To enhance knowledge capacity and to promote human exchange - to organize the learning community that enables the exchange of the educational culture and information through Human Network among teachers, learners, supporters. This is to solve the problem of digital divide in APEC economies • To promote the collaboration of knowledge workers and the exchange program between APEC economies, which are aimed to develop and improve the knowledge and new skills relevant to ICT - to conduct various studies that focus on increasing the knowledge producing capacity of APEC economies
